How we handle your data

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what personal data BAWANI AL-JAZERA collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only, not to data you give us under a signed contract.

1. Data we collect

We keep the website deliberately light on data collection. We collect only the following:

  • Details you type into the contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, and the message itself.
  • Anonymous usage statistics, such as which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visit came from. These are only collected once you accept analytics cookies.
  • Standard server records kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability, including IP address and browser type.

2. How we use it

We use contact form details to answer your enquiry and to discuss a possible project. We use usage statistics to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow or confusing.

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
  • We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

3. How the contact form works

The contact form does not send your message to a server we control. It opens your own email application with the message pre-filled, so you send it directly to us. Your message travels through your own email provider, under their terms.

4. Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We store one small preference in your browser recording your cookie choice, plus your chosen theme and language. Anonymous analytics run only after you accept them in the consent banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

5. Who else sees your data

We share personal data only with service providers that make this website work, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Our hosting and analytics provider, which serves the site and produces anonymous traffic statistics.
  • Map and news services that load content into some pages. These see your IP address as part of the normal request.
  • Authorities, where the law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires disclosure.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Anonymous analytics are aggregated and are not tied to you. Server logs are kept on a short rolling window by our provider.

7. Your rights

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law you may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, provide a copy of it, correct anything inaccurate, or delete it where we have no continuing legal or contractual reason to keep it. Write to us using the contact details below and we will respond.

8. Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and we hold no customer database on it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send confidential commercial or financial information through the contact form.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.

10. Contact us about your data

Questions about this policy, or a request about your own data, can be sent to the address on our contact page.
